What's new
Every update, sip by sip.
What changed in each version of Hydrately, newest first.
Version 1.8Latest
A new look for your daily log, widgets and stats.
New
- Stats has Overview, All time and Insights tabs. Browse a calendar of daily progress rings, filter by drink and open earlier days to view or update their logs.
- Switch the streak display off in Customize, and tap today's progress bar to see your expected pace and how long your lead lasts.
Improved
- A refreshed blue design brings glass cards, a floating tab bar and compact forms for logging drinks and editing settings.
- Home focuses on today, with your streak, progress, boosts and drink breakdown together. Open the breakdown to see every drink, or expand a single category.
- Preview small and large widgets while arranging your shortcuts: two on the small widget and three on the large one.
- Calculated and manual daily goals now share one form. Choose your goal and units, or follow your Apple Health weight.
- Returning to Stats or Customize starts at the front page, while Home keeps its place.
Version 1.2
A calmer way to pick your drink.
Improved
- Choosing a drink type now opens a full-width list right under the field, with your current drink highlighted, instead of a floating menu that covered it.
Version 1.1.2
Improved
- Setting up reminders is one clear step: Hydrately explains what you get, then iOS asks for permission.
- The Apple Health page now says plainly what stays on your device and what syncs with your iCloud.
Fixed
- On iPad, the window controls no longer cover the back button and screen titles.
- Turning off “Follow Apple Health weight” no longer keeps the weight from Health as your own.
Version 1.1.1
Improved
- Your daily goal can be set between 1,200 and 4,000 mL, and Hydrately tells you when a number is outside that range.
Fixed
- A very large goal no longer makes the app close when you open it.
- Onboarding no longer comes back after you have finished it.
- Drinks logged from the widget now count right away, so you no longer get a “behind pace” reminder after logging.
- A drink logged from the widget is no longer saved twice.
- Using Hydrately on two iPhones no longer removes your edits to the built-in drinks.
- The Apple Health page shows that access is off right after you tap Don't Allow.
Version 1.1
Improved
- Before asking for Apple Health access, Hydrately explains what it will read and why.
- Your week starts on the day your iPhone's calendar starts it.
- Reminders stay inside your waking hours, also for tomorrow.
- Plainer wording throughout the app, reminders and insights.
- The launch screen uses the app's own background color instead of plain white.
Fixed
- Numbers like 2.000 and 0,5 are read the way you meant them, and switching between kg and lb converts your weight correctly.
- Days, weeks and streaks are counted correctly when you travel across time zones.
- The widget no longer shows yesterday's progress after midnight.
Version 1.0
The first version of Hydrately.
New
- Log a drink in a tap from the app, a Home Screen widget or a Control Center button.
- A daily goal you set yourself or let Hydrately size from your weight, with boosts for workouts and hot days.
- A daily streak, weekly and monthly stats, and a recap of every month.
- Smart reminders that only nudge you when you are behind pace.
- Apple Health support and private sync through your own iCloud.
